Day 2: St Kitts
Out favourite and most memorable!
We were taken to the other side of the island in a private mini bus. There we met our tour guide that was taking us out on quad bikes. His name was Manners and he was in his early 20s, so he knew exactly what sort of fun things we wanted to do on the quads.
We started off at the historic Wingfield Estate, formally owned by the grandfather of the former US President Thomas Jefferson. We rode through the sugar cane paths, leading us to the century old sugar estate ruins where the slave quarters are still standing up, to the base of a dormant volcano. After we had some photo opportunities with the old British fort in the background over looking the ocean.
