5 Undeniable Reasons To Love India

Looking for Travel Inspiration? Then you should look no further than India! India is about the most mysterious country on everyone’s bucket list. By that I mean India is on almost every bucket list in the world, but a place where hardly anyone travels. I don’t know if it is the heat, the infrastructure or the fact that it is so different, but I do know that it is a mistake.

India is without a doubt top ten on the list of the world’s best places to travel. Don’t believe me? Just take a look at a few of the reasons below. I’m confident they will change your mind.

Food

They say the quickest way to the heart is through the stomach, and if that is true then you will instantly fall in love in India. Although the food is not a complete replica of what you find at home, it is still incredibly tasty. If you love Indian food, there is no better way to experience it than eating authentic Indian cuisine. The Masala Dosa, in particular, is a treat for the taste buds.

Hot Weather

There is no getting away from the fact that India is very hot, but why would you want to? The weather is what makes India special. For most of your trip, the sun will beat down on you with intense power, and then all of a sudden the heavens will open and rain will pour down. Watching the rain beat against the ground is a remarkable sight because you will never see rain like it again. Plus, it is a great way to cool off!

Sights

Among the world’s greatest sights, India has some of the most popular and breathtaking. Of course, you cannot go to the sub-continent without visiting the Taj Mahal. The Taj is a mausoleum that is dedicated to the builder’s dead wife, and it is a sight to behold. The sheer size of the building is hard to fathom in today’s day and age, which makes it even more impressive that it was commissioned in 1632. But, there is more than just the Taj. The backwaters of Alleppey are a rare insight into life of the inhabitants of the ‘Venetian Capital of Kerala’.

Culture

The culture is so far removed from what we are used to in the Western world that you will not believe it until you witness. I could tell you about the masses of people that buzz around the streets or the wildlife that integrates with the local community. But, I think I’ll talk about Varanasi. Varanasi is that different that you might want to consider a Varanasi travel guide to navigate the city. Located on the Ganges, it is the holiest place in India where millions flock to burn their dead. The difference to conventional cremation is that they do it out in the open on the ghats! You can walk up and down the river and watch the ceremonies take place and witness the holiest of traditions, as long as you don’t take any pictures.

Completely Different

The final reason to love India is the fact that it is such an abstract place. There is no better way to describe it than the strangest place on the planet, and that is why I love India so much!

  1. What you said is right. India is completely different from any other country you can visit. The diversity is one thing that makes it special. We have every sort of geographical settings in this country. For desert we have Thar of Rajastan, we have green hills and tropical forests. we have snow lands of Shimla, great mountains of Himalayas, giant lakes, back water paradise in Kerala, Island heaven of lakshadweep, caves like Ellora where the history sleeps. We have the greatest religions and cultures… everything… Like no other country in this world can offer.
