LIVE view: Haboob from Syria covers Cyprus

Here’s a LIVE view of what’s happening outside my window right now. Haboob is a wild dust or sandstorm, carried by a wild wind bringing in particles from the deserts. In fact if you Google a Haboob, you will get tons of images of sandstorms that took place in Central Arizona a few years back. I’ve experienced these first hand while living in Arizona and they are most definitely wild and sneak up on you very rapidly and cover the entire city. This one over here in Cyprus is coming all the way across the sea from Syria and will stick around until the end of the week. The storm is just growing wilder but in slow motion compared to the Arizona’s wild sandstorms. If this is happening in your area, you should definitely head inside if you have any sort of respiratory conditions. Back in Arizona, we used to go outside & stand in the streets and just observe any sort of weather spectacle with pure excitement (along with the summer monsoons.) I’m pretty sure I have AZ haboob photos …

Wellbeing Wednesdays

Hey guys! I hope you are having a great week in your part of the world. If you missed the previous 2 Wellbeing Wednesdays posts you can find them below:   Let’s get right to it! It’s getting hotter over here on the island. Highs are now around 34-38+ C (93-100+ F) & the humidity has most definitely risen too. I know because, I am just finding out how much sweat my face can actually produce. I am pretty sure, this is healthy.  So far, I’m loving the weather. ☀ ☀ ☀ Every day is super sunny & I am pretty sure this powerful sun could make the most miserable person smile! 🙂 –> 10 Healing Benefits of the Sun Workout Hours: Probably around 5+ hours of mostly cardio this week. Because of the workout increase which is burning more calories, I’ve been eating more too. I have just realized that I’ve been eating mostly vegan food this summer, probably about 95% of the time. Which is pretty awesome! I think more than 50% of the food I’ve been eating …

Wellbeing Wednesdays

If you missed last week’s Wellbeing Wednesdays have a look  so you know what’s going on. This week I’m not gonna talk about the weather much, besides I’m not in London anymore. Everyday is sunny here! ☀ Highs for the past couple of days were 30-31C (86-88F) in Limassol, which for this time of the year is pretty amazing! 🙂 The nights are fresh. Beach Visits: 1 That’s a bit of a bummer, but I’m not located close to the beach at all. The good news is Swimming Season ends around Halloween time here and the 2 following weeks of November are tanning weeks, so you see there’s plenty of Summer ahead! 🙂 Funny thing happened when I did indeed visit the beach on that 1 day. I had this entire plan to swim and snorkel as much as possible but what actually happened was rather tragic almost. The double fried crispy chips sprinkled with oregano and Himalayan sea salt (pictured below) were my treat for the week, so I really wanted to get some …

Secrets to Soft Summer Hair

When it comes to Beauty, I am a minimalist, especially during the Summer Season. To date, I haven’t visited or lived in a country (city or state) that did not have a hot summer. Although throughout the years the humidity levels have varied from 2% low to 96% high depending on my location, my beauty routine has always remained the same, with the exception of the London era when I worked in Luxury Retail and I of course had to look super polished and put together at all times. During the hot summer months, a little bit of light foundation base and mascara is all I will wear out during the daytime. For evenings when I go out, I just add a strong lipstick, black eyeliner and sometimes a little blush too. Now back to the original topic of this post – How to get Super Soft Summer Hair I am my own hairdresser and have been for the past 20 years. This means that I’m responsible for every cut, style and color so I know exactly what works and doesn’t …
