Essential Experiences for the Luxury Side of Greece

Greece is often a popular destination for getting more luxury for less. However, it can often mean that you’re sharing your luxury experience with a lot of other people. Either that, or paying less doesn’t get you the luxury that you were hoping for. If you want a truly luxurious experience of the country and its islands, you’re going to have to settle for nothing less than the best. Authentic luxury could cost you as much in Greece as anywhere else, especially if you’re looking for exclusivity. Live your life the luxury way in Greece by following these tips. Luxury Accommodation Any luxury trip starts with somewhere exclusive to stay. There’s no shortage of beautiful hotels in various parts of Greece. You can choose a 5-star establishment, whether it’s a global name or something local. Many of Greece’s best hotels are within resorts, but that may not be for everyone. If you want more privacy and exclusivity, a private residence might be better. You can search for luxury villas in the Peloponnese and other beautiful …

Sunday Brunching at The Cookhouse

On Sunday, my brother along with his fiancée kidnapped me & took me to The Cookhouse for brunch here in Limassol. From across the street this place doesn’t look like much. It’s only when you get closer and inside that you notice its beauty and charm. We didn’t have a reservation, and after experiencing their busy Sunday brunch rush hour, I am definitely making a reservation next time. We only waited 10-15 minutes for a table to open up, but when this is your first food stop of the day, that seems like a while to your stomach. We were seated at the entrance of the outside patio on a long table that could seat about a dozen people comfortably. The menu was delicious! With any new place I visit, I sort of have to scan through most of the menu first, see what all my options are, and then narrow it down to 2-3 items, and then finally pick what I want the most. It’s always a process, hence why I do better with less choices. I wasn’t craving …

4 Hours of Water Sports followed by 1 Amazing Spanish Lunch!

I was super excited for the second day of our A Different Barcelona tour because we had Water Sport activities on our schedule. This was one of the main reasons why I picked this tour! The itinerary said that we would try out one of the following water sport activities: Paddle Surfing, Kayaking or Sailing. I wanted to try out sailing. Our lovely tour guide picked us up with our tour bus up from our hotel early in the morning and we headed toward the Barcelona Olympic Port. We arrived at Vela Barcelona where we were about to try not 1 but 4 different Water Sport activities, each lasting 1 hour long! I was completely insanely excited about this as I love water sports and generally being in water. The water at the time (beginning of May) was still on the cold side, but we were provided with awesome wet suits. As I predicted, I was horrible at paddle surfing. Balancing on that board was a challenge for me. I managed to stand up a couple of times within …

Greetings from sunny Cyprus

Hello Sunshine Lovers 🙂 Here’s a little update on what’s going on in my neck of the woods. Last weekend I visited #63 from the 100 Places to see in Europe before you Die list and I’m posting a few photos bellow. This beautiful beach is located on the East side of the island and it’s my favourite beach here so far. There are still plenty of beaches to explore and I cannot wait to see them all. The most beautiful ones are located on the East and West sides of the island. Nissi Beach Usually there’s a sand path here connecting the beach to the island which you can cross, but today it was covered with water How beautiful is this water? 🙂 View from the little island The island is covered in very interesting rocky terrain as well as some wild plants and flowers This is the Cliff diving spot which is pretty awesome. I didn’t jump as I had my camera with me, but on my next visit, I’m totally jumping from there …

Steel Donkey Bike Tours of Barcelona

My second day in Barcelona started with an awesome morning bike tour of the city. I was immediately drawn to Steel Donkey Bike Tours because they are not your typical city bike tour. They are quiet unique bike tours that let you discover a different side of Barcelona, the one you don’t find in the guide books. Every tour differs from the next one, so you never know what sort of surprise is waiting for you. Another great part of this tour is that the group is always small and intimate which makes for a much better tour altogether. Edu, our tour guide explaining Barcelona’s neighborhoods The beautiful Santa Maria del Mar Church This corner head indicates that this used to be a brothel The streets used to be labelled this way indicating which way the traffic went This amazing little gem of a shop has been roasting nuts the old fashioned way since 1851 We actually got to sample some roasted nuts, and let me tell you they definitely taste pretty special and nothing …
